    Good evening,

I am looking for ancestors from Przyszowice from the period when the Civil Registry Office already existed.
Browsing through the registry office register on the SearchArchives website, I found a date range for the Civil Registry Office in Przyszowice for years 1900-1935, hence my question, where the Civil Registry Office has older entries, starting of 1874 do 1899.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Luke

And what ancestors are you looking for from Przyszowice? any names?
I recommend calling the Cultural Center in Gierałtowice and asking, do they still have the book "If the Dead Could Talk..." It describes all the families from Przyszowice.
And you have indexes on genetics.

    Good evening,

I am also looking for the register books of the Civil Registry Office in Przyszowice from this period, because I'm trying to find the marriage certificate of my ancestors.

    Hello Gabrysia,

I remember about this book, You already recommended it to me when translating the place of origin of the first Hajduks in Przyszowice, but I still don't have time to go to Gierałtowice to buy it.

In practice, I am only looking for a connection between what I am sure and what I only guess, i.e. confirmation of the identity of my 3x great-grandparents, Filip Sobota and Paulina née Hajduk. Generally, I would also like to know the dates of death of both these two and their parents, but for now, their marriage certificate is enough for me.
Generally, the last reliable source is a marriage certificate from Bujaków from 1999 1917, which shows that my great-great-grandfather Ignacy Sobota was the son of Filip Sobota and Paulina née Hajduk, and that in genetics there are Przyszowice indexes to 1874, then, considering that the great-great-grandfather (according to the marriage certificate) was born 20.07.1887, this is the only Filip Sobota, coming from Przyszowice, who could be his father is the son of Marcel Sobota and Uliana née. Smołka, born 26.05.1852, who, from what I understood from old newspapers, was one of the founders of the Słowik w. choir 1912, a w 1931 he was still mentioned in another article as still living, invalid, celebrating their 80th birthday (apparently they missed a year). The final confirmation that this is the same Filip would be the marriage certificate of Filip and Paulina, or at least his death certificate. But you know, people changed their place of residence and maybe another Filip came to Przyszowice in the meantime, hence I would need some document, preferably this wedding certificate of Filip and Paulina, concluded most likely during the period 1874-1885, from which I don't see indexes on genetics, and on the search archives it is written that for USC Przyszowice the date range is only from one year 1900 and ends with 1935. That's why I wonder if the Civil Registry Office existed there before and only the documents have not been preserved and the only thing left to do is search the church archives, or maybe Przyszowice was connected to another Civil Registry Office in the years 1874-1899.

I hope that when the indexing of the collections from the Gliwice archive passes through the Przyszowice area, one of them will contain all the ancestors I am looking for, and I will be able to order scans, but it would be very helpful if I knew where I should look for it at the USC.

    Regards
    Luke
