    Good evening,

I am asking for help in deciphering the marked entry in the Wiśnicze parish book from (I think) 1671.
That's all I read from it, that it's about the wedding of some Mikosza woman. Unfortunately, I can't really read the rest of the post – Is the spouse maybe Jurga or Jurg Blida (or something similar), wife's name, not to mention the other words.

    Regards,

    Zygmunt

    Zygmunt,

The content of the entry you attached, along with the expansion of abbreviations, is as follows:

[...] Jurga Blida Scriba Il[lustrissimi Domini] z Evæ Mikosanka Zwoyskiey cum happy copulatus 10 In November

In other words 10 November Jerzy Blida, the then writer of the Most Serene Lord Count Colonna zu Fels married Ewa Mikosanka from Wojska.

    Andrew,

Thank you very much for help.
It bothers me, or Mikosze from the 17th century from the Army (in the 17th century, records were systematically written in Wiśnicze “from Wojskiey”) had family connections with the Mikosz family from Gajowice (also the Wiśnicze parish) or Pyskowice (mayor Szymon Mikosz in 1680).
Unfortunately, b. it will be difficult to confirm or deny this.
Of course, it is curiosity “personal”, because my oldest identified ancestor with this surname (from Gajowice) is Jakub Mikosz (* rather before 1650).

    Regards,

    Zygmunt

    Andrew,

I hope, that I will not abuse it, if I ask for help in reading another entry from the same book (z 1672 r), which I think starts like this: “Jacobus Mikos z Giegowicz begot with his wife” (correct, Please, if I'm reading it wrong ;-), but I have no idea, Is it possible to read the name and date there?…

    Regards,

    Zygmunt

    Zygmunt,

No problem at all, Below is the content of the selected metric:

Jacobus Mikos Z Giegowicz begot from his wife Balczer. PP Josek rula macziek Jabstina stara 5 January [1672]

So Jakub Mikos from Giegowice begot [son] Balcer from his wife and the baptism took place 5 January 1672 r.

    Regards,
    Andrzej
