Sorry I did not post this correctly. Mathias Heine, Spelterman born about 1835, father Anton a Tailor. Mathias emigrated to Wales prior to 1869. He may have been a worker who accompanied Frederick Daehne to Wales to work for Henry Hussey Vivian. Henry studied metallurgy in Prussia (not in Freiberg) and purchased the patent for England of the Gerstenhoffer Furnaces and may have taken some of these back to Swansea, Wales. Frederick Daehne was from Ziegensruck near Erfurt he first worked for Vivian’s and later started his own metal supply business and became Vice Consul for Germany in Swansea.
