Upper Silesian Genealogical Society “Silesian Roots” It arose from the end of September 2013 r. Its founders were a group of people from Piekary Slaskie and the surrounding area, who decided together to enjoy the search for ancestors and explore their history. Since that time, a group of the Society constantly increased by new members and sympathizers. Our meetings allow for exchange of information and materials between themselves, which greatly facilitates the further exploration. We help each other in solving genealogical. We also project the digitization of vital records in the Holdings of the State Archives in Katowice and any other activities serving the development of genealogical knowledge among our members and not only. We hope, that this website will become a complement to our meetings, as well as a portal linking all genealogists conducting research in areas related to the Upper Silesia.
