The so far missing scans for the archival units 101-138 are now online! For Upper Silesia they concern the old Opole district, parts of the old Raciborz district and little areas around Nysa and Wolczyn. The map is already updated. Only the far west of the former Upper Silesia stillt needs to be worked on.

Good evening,

by now the milestone of creating the digital map is finished:

1855 places are included with the name as given in the source, the German place name around 1914, the modern Polish/Czech place name and a link to the archival unit with the scans. Details about the symbols etc. can be found in the map description. Only 6 places could not be identified yet and in 20 cases the identification is not sure.

The information from the map was also exported to a CSV file. It is planned to create a database by linking this set of data to the already created list of 542 preserved and reconstructed volumes of the Karolinisches Kataster (originally there were around 925). This could be extended later by adding the names of the mentioned inhabitants for every place.

I managed to identify one more, so 5 are missing:

no. 53 of Nysa district: Neüdörffel

no. 115 of Nysa district: Wilmsdorf

no. 69 of Otmuchów district: Schlippe Mühle

no. 15 of Racibórz district: Braneck/Bruneck

One should be able to clarify them using the concerning sheets of the Wrede map.

In some cases it is useful to look for it in the indispensable Felix Triest. Vol. 2, p. 1006 says: Alt-Wilmsdorf, Polizeibezirk Patschkau. Today it is called Wilamowa

W Katastrze Karolińskim brakuje miejscowości z ks. brzeskiego. Są miejscowości z okolicy, jest jak się wydaje cały powiat, wszystkie pozostałe wsie z parafii, a tej wioski nie ma. Wiem na pewno, że w tym czasie wioska istniała, była zamieszkana, była własnością cesarską (jak wiele innych spisanych w okolicy).

Pytanie do kogoś, kto się naprawdę zna na Katastrze Karolińskim? Czy możliwe, ze jakiejś wsi wtedy nie spisano? Albo gdzie może być w ramach Katastru, spis mieszkańców tej miejscowości?
Czy mogła się znajdować w tych tomach Katastru, które zaginęły?
