This year's conference in Bank began a visit to Opole. At the beginning we visited the State Archives in Opole. Then we toured the city itself. On the way to the shore we took pictures with a tiny surviving tombstones of the cemetery Street. Guerrilla (Opole Półwieś). The conference itself was successful course. 29 of August 2015 r. in Naklo Silesian III congress held in August descendants of the first known Horzelów. Among the guests was our member Gabriele Horzella-Mühlenhoff, who delivered a lecture on his family, and also spoke about the first known Horzelokach and mill located near the castle of his time świerklanieckiego. The lecture was connected with a slide show. Apart from our Gabi GTG I was still me and Mirek Mitrenga. Mirek moreover he is a descendant of Horzelów. Me, this is also a close family because of wife, which, like Mirek, Horzelów has among his ancestors.

(…) The oldest church books of baptisms Żyglina a fragment of years 1656 do 1659, from 1683 r. almost continued the records of baptisms. The first metrics were destroyed by the Protestants, who took over after the Thirty Years War the church żygliński.

One of the oldest entry Horzelów baptism of September Hedvigis 1657 (Beamer baptism 1657). Because of the shortcomings, for example,. dead entries begin until 1715 r., This can not continue to follow the Horzelów. It is also possible to reproduce all of the metrics Horzelów Żyglina and Radzionków (here preserved metrics only from 1725 r.) (…). Perhaps the oldest downstream Horzela, brethren Andreas i Martinus, who were born about 1650 r., there were also children of the first pair. Their numerous offspring spread over the two parishes (…) and most of us come from them. In almost every village both as parish Żyglin, Żyglinek, Brynica, Nakło, Bisi (Bizyja), Truszczyca, Jendrysek and Radzionków, Kozlov Top, ore Piekary, Walnut can indicate at least one family Horzela, especially many Horzelów lived in Chechle, Nut and Nakle. In the small town of Silesia I did not find any Hora. Horzela were farmers, we find among them peasants, half- and a quarter-peasants, crofters and cottagers. Some were młynarzami, many later worked in the mining industry.

The origin of the name Horzela can now only speculate. It appears from the twelfth century sporadically in the sources as the name of the town, Passenger names appear later. In the literature, I found walking in from the word "sick", but also from the Czech "hori" = fire. In the Czech Republic is the place Horzeniowes, which can be translated "a burning village" or "smoking village". Other authors discharge the name of "burn", others fortress again, the name comes from the place in the forest, wherein coalmen smoked charcoal. (…)

(…) Especially often enterą the oldest entries metrics, as the birthplace of the baptized child in the family Horzela "molendinum sub Swierklinec Ark" (under the castle mill Swierklaniec). One of the oldest we alreadyfrom brothers known Horzela – Martinus lived in the mill wheel Świerklańca, I think there was a miller. His brother Andreas settled in Chechle. W 1713 r. They were to be at the castle two mills, which they were Horzela młynarzami. One of these mills near the castle was later called Chorzele-Mill (mill Chorzele).
