DNA of our ancestors

My ancestors are mostly people living in the area of today's Polish. Probably many of them lived in the area since the formation of our country. Many were here even before, They appeared before tribal communities giving rise to particular nations. Registry books but also provided me with information about people with roots in other nations. Among the ancestors have m.in. wearers names typically German: FEIST, ARNDT, PREISS, GRUNDMANN, mostly belonging to the Lutherans (though in the case of Preiss-mother of my ancestor was Orthodox).

I also have ancestors among the people, which identifies the place of origin: For example,. John Michael Naim (ca.. 1694-1754) And his wife Jadwiga. At the baptism of his son, the priest entered the Hungarians Rudna near Temeswaru. Today, this place lies in Romania. Descendants of John called Węgrzynami (at the time it became the name of many of them).

Another ancestor Andreas Mazur came from Krnov in the Czech Republic. Finally, I also have ancestors among people, which circulate legends about the origin of Pedigree. These are Jacob Ulfik, who supposedly was a Danish soldier from Stralsund, and in time of war 30 years as a soldier wandered around in Sadow and the People Torbusów – from Germany.

Probably research Y -DNA their male descendants would give me an answer about the real origin of these persons. such ancestors, which can speculate as to their foreign origin probably everyone has a lot of. Just look at the names of my other ancestors: Rusek, Brytan, Arabic, Lviv, etc.. As it turned out also my Y-DNA haplogroup (J2-M102) is very rare in comparison to the average Pole. my DNA, as well as other people's DNA contains information about the origin of our ancestors by giving testimony of what mix of ethnic ethnically-we. Below the result obtained with the tested my autosomes showing the percentage of the origin of my ancestors, which DNA preserved in my genes. 1

Hello Damian, we should get in touch and discuss Ulfiks. I have done Ancestry.com DNA and am an Ulfik descendant that lives in America. I was also given this information from the Ulfik family that lives in Koszecin. However, I have not seen it in the church register although I have studied it quite well. I speak only German and English. But have several Polish and English speaking friends. I have been doing genealogy for many years. I also have a blog. It is http://treeclimbingwithsonja.blogspot.com/ I also have many lines from this town, Kandzia, gralla, Ochmann, and more.
