Since the Poland Republic didnt exists before the november 1918, the nationality of your Grand Father is prussian (the Poland was split in three parts in 1795)
After, such information about any change of his nationality must be written in the marriage’s record of your grand father.Kind Regards

Many newer digital cameras (both dSLR and Point & Shoot digicams) have a built-in orientation sensor. Virtually all Canon and Nikon digital cameras have an orientation sensor. The output of this sensor is used to set the EXIF orientation flag in the image file’s metatdata to reflect the positioning of the camera with respect to the ground.
By the way Dropbox will never auto-rotate a picture automatically.
Either you did it in your Dropbox local before uploading in your server or you have the exif property auto-rotate 90 enabled in some pictures (see pict meta-data )
I think it s possible to avoid exif property in all files.
JHEAD -v -autorot C:pictures***.jpg
The exif property may be read in a browser differently than on a software Pc program.

I’m just wondering if the usage of dropbox is a good solution.
I think it should be better to save all images in a database like postgres.
It’s more flexible and reach the same approach of „sukajwarchiwach.pl”
With dropbox you need to extend to 1TB in order to save all data – It will cost more than using a open source database but it’s just a personal matter.Kind regards.

I think the birth record is between 1785-1790. So We won’t catch it.
We should browse the mariage records in the Siemonia’s parish and prey to find the right one.
The problem is the fact that the priest don’t want to scan his books. Why? I really dont know exactly.
I dont think he will change his mind. The only possibility is to go to the parish and try to ask for the books. Perhaps you wont catch the priest because he is very busy.
The only solution to avoid this impediment is to convince him to let the book been scanned in the parish itself. After what We can publish data in a Dropbox folder.
A lot of People (included myself) is suffering for several years because they won’t be able to find their family easily.
This situation is stupid and the records must he saved anyway !Piotr Slania

I think you should give us the surname/firstname of the 'person’ you are looking for and the age of death.
A death record is not reliable to 100%.By the way there are two towns named 'Dobieschowitz’.
Perhaps it’s the other one near Opole :

The parish Siemonia should be considered as the top priority for you.
Parafii Siemonia należały następujące miejscowości: Siemonia, Gawczyce, Dobieszowice, Łubianki, Rogoźnik, Korzystki, Strzyżowice, Góra, Twardowice, Myszkowice i Brzękowice.
As far as I know the books before 1800 don’t exists. We have only a population recensement (Urodzenia 1660-1781) in Excel files. Data between 1781 and 1799 are considered as lost.

Your remark is right after reading my data about Thomas Morawietz born around 1748.But I don’t have the birth record of Paul Morawiec (Morawiec has suddently changed to Morawietz)
So the problem still persist. Why do you think its Laurentius ? Can you show me a proof ?

Yes I expect Thomek Morawiec to be the father of Paul but I am not sure. Both lived in Bobrownik near Tarnowitz. I passed five years to build my tree but I will publish it later.Piotr Slania

I am looking for the mariage in Piekary Slaskie of :
Jan Słania and Zuzanna between 1683 and 1685. Genealogy is sometimes feeling lucky to find record. So I am not sure to find something…
Franz Słania (1790-1834) and Marianna the 9th february 1823.
The purpose here is to read the mariage record and try to find the parents of Franz Słania. So I will be able to connect him to my common ancestor Jan Słania. If I can do that then I will connect some american Słania cousins living in Usa with me !
