UżytkownikHello RJ,
sadly not. Nothing from that area has been indexed. I maintain a map with all known electronic indexes here:

UżytkownikHi,
I also have Klutz in my family tree. They were from Krogullno, Oppeln district, near Carlsruhe O.S. I have not paid much attention to them yet because they are ancestors of my great great uncle’s wife (née Klutz), but I know a few migrated to Brockau near Breslau, as well as Brieg.
Maybe your Klutz family is related?
Kind regards,

UżytkownikHello Carolina,
it would be helpful if you could send us a scan of the image that says Leimerwitz.
To get Hans’ birth certificate from Racibórz, you need to write to the state archive in Racibórz.
Give them these two file numbers: 18/282/0/1/37 18/282/0/1/38
and as much information as you have on the family (names, date of birth, etc.).
Contact information:
https://www.katowice.ap.gov.pl/p,74,raciborzMind that the surname Sikora was also spelled Schikora in many places.
If they came from Leimerwitz, they should appear in this database:
http://www.online-ofb.de/nassiedel/index.php?lang=en
You can navigate it by clicking on „Complete List of Surnames” on the left.
The database does have some entries for Sikora and Schikora.Best regards,

UżytkownikHello Tim,
translate this short guide for some guidance.

The Falkenberg district is not that great in terms of online research, so you will most likely have to get the Polish archives involved.Best regards,

UżytkownikHello Adam,
searching the baptisms of Radzionków should be the first priority. Based on that, we might also be able to find Mathaeus Olesch’s marriage in the years before Catharina’s baptism.
Mathaeus Wilk might be from outside the village; he was a skilled worker, not a farmer, and the alias Reder suggests that he took over the Reder farm/house recently.
As I have said before, I have a DNA match with someone who has WILK ancestors from Halemba (Katowice district), with Casimirus Wilk * around 1800 in Halemba, +15.07.1885 in Halemba being the current top ancestor. Mathaeus could be his uncle.Thank you for the death record. I think that as long as we do not have his marriage record, there is no use in speculating.

UżytkownikHello Adam,
I have inquired with the archives and they sent me their marriage record:Radzionkau den 13. Februar 1792
Wurde allhier Getrauth der Mathaeus Wilk seiner Proffesion ein Schmidt mit der Catharina des Matheus Oles seine Leib Tochter vom H: Pfarrer George Struzena Copulirt. Zeugen waren Blasey Mallok und Michael Kaja.

UżytkownikHello John,
mind that 1921-1925 births are still under data protection. It should actually not be a problem for them to find the birth record since they should have indexes available for those records. Maybe it’s just their way of telling you that you need to prove this way that you are directly related.
Either way, the original churchbooks should be at the Diocesan Archives. Just shoot them an email (in Polish), they do research for people.

UżytkownikHello Gabrysia,
one of my direct ancestors, a widow, married again and died in Tworog parish. I have not yet found her death and I think that it may be recorded in Brynnek USC. Apart from that, the physical proximity implies that at least some of my relatives in Stare Tarnowice / Strzybnica parish would have moved or been born there. Of particular interest is the PARUSEL/PARUZEL family, which was present in the parish in the „Kommunikanten” lists and which may be directly related to me in the 1790-1822 period.
Best regards,
MichaelWeltenwanderer
UżytkownikHello,
incidentally, someone has put up a marriage index for Tworog USC 1874-1910.

UżytkownikHello Remigiusz,
there is currently nobody indexing USC records from Tworóg. For a long time, it was not clear where these records are – szukajwarchiwach only started listing them recently. I would be happy to index marriages (both Catholic marriages 1765-1857 and USC) if only they were available anywhere. Similarly, I would be interested in the Brynnek USC records (marriages, deaths).
Best regards,
Michael26 października 2018 o 17:37 w odpowiedzi na: Metrics of Lipiny (Świętochłowice) and Antonienhütte (Wirek) #17561Weltenwanderer
UżytkownikHello Pascal,
the state archive in Katowice has Antonienhütte births 1874-1914, marriages, deaths 1874-1924, as well as indexes of which at least 1874-1906 should be available digitally at the state archive (but not online).
As for Lipine, the state archive has BMD 1874-1908 and indexes, all of which should be available digitally at the state archive (but not online).
It is not known when or if these records will be put on szukajwarchiwach.
Best regards,
MichaelWeltenwanderer
UżytkownikHello Adam,
thank you for the information. I was not aware that this was a custom in Radzionków (or Silesia, for that matter). I had assumed that REDER was an alias given by e.g. his stepfather. This clears it up.
While Radzionków is the most likely place of marriage, I would also consider Piekary or Kochłowice as possible places. There must be some connection between that American DNA match and us.
Greetings from Copenhagen,
Michael -
